An Insight on What is Trauma?
What is trauma? It can not be defined so easily. Some may be suffering from big trauma, some from small trauma and some may be experiencing a mixture of soft and hard trauma. Plus, it also changes from person to person. Someone undergoing some trauma will find it very hard while someone staying nearby will feel it is not that hard to bear. Trauma is an individual experience and not everyone can understand what the person suffering from it is going through. Trauma can be experienced by anyone, of any age group and of any sex. It can be caused due to some experience or due to some lack of experience. People in trauma feel helpless and powerless to come out of it. People might behave differently while undergoing through some trauma in their life. Some will feel defended and might show suicidal tendencies. Some will cut off from the world and ask to be left alone.
